Context
Small-business constraints.
Focused scope.
The business needed an approachable digital experience without the cost or operational burden of an oversized platform. The essential journeys were discovering the service, moving into booking and recognising returning customers.
I kept the implementation focused on those needs, prioritising responsive interaction and a loyalty workflow the business could understand and use.
Contribution
A useful product without
unnecessary complexity.
This is independent work and is intentionally positioned after professional production experience. The case study describes delivered functionality rather than estimated sales claims.
Booking experience
Designed a focused booking journey that helps customers understand the service and move into an appointment flow on any screen size.
Loyalty workflow
Added a voucher-based reward flow to support repeat customers without introducing unnecessary complexity for the business.
Full-stack implementation
Built the product with Next.js and TypeScript, using MongoDB for the application data required by the booking and loyalty features.
Practical delivery
Balanced scope, usability and implementation cost for a small business where the solution needed to remain straightforward to operate.
What this demonstrates
Product judgement for
a practical brief.
The project demonstrates end-to-end ownership: translating a small-business requirement into a responsive product, choosing an appropriate stack and keeping the solution proportionate to the problem.
